Mohammad El Diasty, MD, MSc, PhD, FRCS, FEBTCVS, FACC, is an adult cardiac surgeon at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. Dr. El Diasty’s areas of expertise and clinical interest include on-pump and off-pump total arterial coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic valve surgery, mitral valve surgery, tricuspid valve surgery, aortic dissection surgery, aortic arch surgery and atrial fibrillation surgery. In addition to his surgical practice, he is an avid researcher studying the molecular basis and prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation, as well as inflammatory response after cardiac surgery.
