Bethany Joy Clutts, DO

There's a lot to enjoy about general surgery. You get to do a little bit of everything. I enjoy all of those different little things that make up general surgery, the things that make a general surgeon important to the community, the hernias, the appendectomies, the colonoscopies, I find all of those highly enjoyable. I'm most passionate about the patient connection in medicine. Any time a patient is seeking out a surgeon, it's not generally a comfortable time, and being able to make that connection and build the trust in the relationship is very important. Trusting me to be your surgeon is a high trust, and I don't want to take that lightly. I want my patients to know that when they see me in the clinic, they will receive high quality care. I strive for that personal connection to really get to know them as a person. The goal is to help them get back to their own goals in their normal life.
