Worked hard to make it a night to remember! by ryan217 via Citysearch on 12/4/2008

I recently proposed to my girlfriend and when I called the hotel not only were they thrilled to order flowers in advance if I wished, they also arranged a private tour of the belltower to make sure everything was perfect. The meal was…

Brunch too much food by DJ E via Insider Pages on 12/1/2008

Be sure to have a reservation for brunch before you go it is a popular place. There are something like 12 courses to the brunch way too much food but very tasty and spendy too.

beautiful views by Betty B via Insider Pages on 8/25/2008

We have had lunch there plus a Sunday brunch which was one of the most memorable that I have ever had. Servings at the brunch were huge so make sure you have a BIG appetite. Prices were above average but well worth it. The view was…

(restaurant only) Awesome view but still hungry after by paintedsquare via Citysearch on 4/27/2008

I recall visiting the Gorge Hotel way back in the 80's for breakfast. From what I remember, it was a great meal. That's why I recently decided to pay them another visit for a Sunday afternoon brunch. \r \r Even though the hostess was AWOL…

Columbia Gorge Hotel by Katherine M via Insider Pages on 4/25/2008

Only one visit to the Columbia Gorge Hotel where we entertained some people from out of state on a business trip. They we're all impressed and so was I. It's a lovely old place where they treat you like you are really special.

Historic hotel offers cozy rooms, romantic dinners and spectacular views. by Contributor via Citysearch on 9/8/2006

The Scene
Built in 1921, the picturesque Columbia Gorge Hotel is perched high on a cliff, treating guests to panoramic gorge views. This hotel even has its own waterfall, which plummets some 208 feet in spectacular style. Lush,…

Hesitate before dining by ddnorton via Citysearch on 2/1/2006

We used to drive over from Portland for lunch or dinner a couple of times a year. The food was always excellent. It had been a while, so we thought we would give it another try for lunch. We were very disappointed!! Besides the…

Lovely spot for a romantic Christmas evening by maryevon via Citysearch on 1/14/2006

My husband and I stayed here just before Christmas and it was lovely. Sure, the room was not the most upscale, but hey...it's an old hotel. The piano bar entertainer was good and breakfast in the morning a real pleasure. Lovely…

Charming and romantic by Lani O via Insider Pages on 8/18/2005

The rose garden greets guests as you pull up to the hotel and around the back you can hear the gentle rumble of a small waterfall spilling into the Columbia river. They don't have many rooms here which makes it charming and quaint. My…

Perfect! by kcjohnson via Citysearch on 2/6/2005

We had driven by the Columbia Gorge Hotel for years on afternoon outings up the gorge and finally decided to give ourselves a treat. And what a treat!. The place is one-of-a-kind gorgeous. Rich carpets, beautiful decor, and surprisingly…

Spectacular! by CalistaU via Citysearch on 6/18/2003

This place is even better than it sounds in the article. The waterfall flows right off of a large "deck" (for lack of a better word), but that's only half the story. The stream that leads to the stunning waterfall meanders through a…

Just Married by travelbug via Citysearch on 6/18/2003

We want to post a huge thank you to everyone at the Hotel for making our wedding a truly memorable and blissful experience. Our guests were thrilled with the location and are still raving about the food. Thank you for doing all the…

Gotta love the "Gorge" by Orvil via Citysearch on 6/14/2003

The first thing we heard walking through the door was "Welcome to the Gorge". Not "Hi ya", or the usual back of the head from Hotel staff, but a real welcome. The welcome continued for our entire stay. The front desk staff could not…

Sooooo Romantic by connoiseur via Citysearch on 2/19/2003

Spent Valentine's weekend here. It was like being on "Joe Millionaire". Champagne, caviar, wonderful food, lovely room, neat people. Really tough to say enough good things about it.

Harlequin Romantic by rossofrosskindred via Citysearch on 2/2/2003

Me and my wife have enjoyed the dinners we have had there better than anywhere we have eaten. I rate this the number one restrurant in the area.

Not for young couples by Mistymave via Citysearch on 1/1/2003

I am in my 20's and went with my boyfriend for new year's eve. We were in a garden view room and it was quite small for the money you pay for it. Dinner is $50 per person and the menu is chosen for you with several courses. I would opt out…
