I truly can not believe some these reviews and some of them are plain old lies! I found the staff very polite. the prices great and the food quite good!

Best Potstickers in Town by Potstickerfan via Citysearch on 11/10/2010
The atmosphere may be grim but the pot stickers and General Tso's chicken is the best in town. However, you do have to ask for the hot chili oil or they just bring a soy sauce mixture. Great food though.
happy birthday by Teri H via Insider Pages on 4/7/2010
Very good food and fun atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. We go often for family birthdays. Definately a family favorite.
Chinese Village Restaurant has a nice feel. by Tracy L via Insider Pages on 8/11/2009
I love the authentic feel of this restaurant. The dragons on the ceiling are so cool! The food is awesome and the prices are pretty average. The BBQ beef and fried shrimp are the best!
Beware of the feathers!!!! by Autono via Citysearch on 8/11/2009
First impression...Floor and tables DIRTY !!! Second...Cold appetizers !!! Third ...The egg flower soup came with a Feather inside..Yes a feather !! When the feather was pointed out by my wife the staff/waitress seemed to appear bothered…
2 weddings by K Q via Insider Pages on 12/19/2008
Two of my sisters have had weddings here and they've both gone pretty well. The banquet room is kinda small though and when you're trying to make your rounds, it's hard to get around. The food is really good, though!
rude and gross food by dynal via Citysearch on 7/23/2008
The food might be cheap since they do have choose any 2 or 3 itemscombo for $5.50 or &6.97 dispite them messing up on my orders numerous of times in the past i thought since it been a while i could try them again my orders was to go…
Chinese by infinitycoffee via Citysearch on 5/13/2008
Awful food would some up the culinary attributes of this restaurant. I have eaten there three times beacause of convience and never had a good meal. While some of the dishes were alright others were unedible. If you are stuck in the…
I agree by Big1der via Citysearch on 8/12/2007
If you are drunk and/or have your lungs full of smoke or like to do lots of meth, the this grease pit is for you, I have seen people huffing in the bathroom. The food is the worst, I don't drink, but I have heard that you get lots to…
Perhaps I'm Reiterating by toddvania2 via Citysearch on 4/8/2007
Myself by reviewing this restaurant twice, but I can't help myself. This is the best Chinese food for the dollar (certainly better than Wong's King or other touted Chinese fare throughout Portland), you can ever find. Old-fashioned, and…
CV to go is the way to go by atethere2 via Citysearch on 3/11/2007
CV is good for take out. I recommend the sweet/sour anything. Hubby like CV fried rice, kids like low mein.\r
Agree with the observations about the bar patrons. Be brave and order take out.
At 2 A.M. how can you go wrong with tasty "chinese' food at a good price????? by hayvensmom via Citysearch on 2/11/2007
I just happen to live nearby, and being a night owl means that I try to find decent places to satiate that late night food craving. Fast food just doesn't do it for me, so finding a nearby chinese place is like stumbling onto a treasure…
Great food at a great price..but the bar is kinda scary by jamie97023 via Citysearch on 10/7/2006
This restaurant has some of the best Chinese food in Portland. Everytime I go here, I don't order from the "family dinner" specials. Generally, that food is greasy and tasteless and very Americanized (caters to white people taste). …
I love thios place! by Robin W via Insider Pages on 8/6/2005
This food is fantastic, prepared the way Chinese is supposed to be, and on top of that, it's not all that expensive, except for the BBQ pork (this is pricey in all Chinese restaurants; I have yet to understand why), and the seating is…
Less than stellar by verso via Citysearch on 12/19/2002
I visited here on the recommendation of a friend. Perhaps we made an unfortunate menu decision, but we had egg rolls which were very very greasy and may have contained Cream Of Mushroom soup, and some other very very greasy dishes, except…
Ack! by portlandjosh via Citysearch on 12/19/2002
While the service wasn't bad, and there's actually something to be said for the 1970's-type Chinese decor, this was the worst Chinese food I've had in the United States. One or two dishes were just OK, but honestly, others were not…
Don't waste your time by SEPDXScott via Citysearch on 12/17/2002
Your typical Chinese restaurant in appearance, but the food does not rate well. While prices are comperable to other similar family-style places, and the portions are fairly large, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Heavy on fried…
A reason I'd like to move to China. by ToddVania via Citysearch on 10/10/2002
I those AYCE Chinese buffets were more like this, I'd eat at them every day. This food is fantastic, prepared the way Chinese is supposed to be, and on top of that, it's not all that expensive, except for the BBQ pork (this is pricey in…
