Golden Horse is our go-to downtown spot for Chinese food. In fact, it has been for the past 18 years. We get takeout every other week or so, and it's always fun to catch up with the staff. I'm a big fan of their noodles, and the salty crunch of their Pepper & Salt Pork is heavenly, as is the squid. Oh, and definitely try the string beans and the eggplant! The Hot & Sour Soup is also excellent! They give you so much food, there is enough for two good-sized meals - at least. The pandemic was hard on downtown in general, and we're grateful this gem is still here for us to enjoy. Golden Horse and the kind folks who run it deserve your support.

AMAZING food for an unbelievable price. Try the beef chow fun with kai lan (chinese broccoli) or the sesame chicken. Popular American dishes such as sweet & sour are not nearly as impressive as their more authentic dishes.
