On the edge of tree-filled Ladd's Addition, this Lebanese restaurant offers standard Middle Eastern fare, including plenty of choices for vegetarians and vegans. The non-greasy falafel is one of the best in town. You can also indulge in… Read Full Editorial

Great Customer Service and Vegetarian Food by tcascade via Menuism on 6/9/2010

One of my favorite restaurants in Portland.

Great food! by Tara K via Insider Pages on 2/16/2010

My favorite restaurant in Portland! They have amazing vegetarian dishes, try the dolmas. I also recommend the veggie mezza plate, it is great! They are never crowded and have a nice atmosphere.

Poor Service, OK Food by Gerion via Citysearch on 2/10/2010

I have eaten here a couple times. The last time was in 2008 and it was the last time. The food is decent, but not as good as other middle eastern places in Portland. If you live in the neighborhood and do not want to travel to one of…

Riyadh's by Sharon S via Insider Pages on 1/18/2010

They have the best Middle eastern food around. I have been to quite a few but this is by far the best. I always get the hummus plate. Prices are very good also

Excellent Lebanese by Victoria C via Insider Pages on 1/16/2010

This is some of the best middle eastern food in the Portland area. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but the food is always worth the wait. I have tried lots of things on their menu and there isn't anything I wouldn't recommend.

Greatest Falafel by adrienne s via Insider Pages on 1/26/2009

This awesome little restaurant has the most delicious Falafel sandwiches. They have lunch specials, and the place isn't usually that crowded. Service can be slow but he food is worth the wait.

so yea if you need lebanese food just go to ya hala on stark near 82nd. infinitely better than anything you will find here. if you have no car and live near by it might be worth a shot since a few things are probably worth while. best of…

Great food at a reasonable price by Chacha121 via Citysearch on 9/14/2008

Everytime I've been here service has been great. Food has been good and I've never ordered anything I didn't like. The food arrives fast and hot. The hummus is tangy and creamy smooth. Yum! My favorite is the falafel sandwich with a green…

Best Lebanese for your money in PDX by cymagen via Citysearch on 4/19/2008

This restaurant is amazing for the value. Probably the best Lebanese for the money in town. The hummus is awesome and so are the falafel. Pretty much everything on the menu. \r \r I wish they made their flatbreads from scratch, they get…

tasty inexpensive eats by richandkelly via Citysearch on 3/27/2008

We had a great mezza platter here tonight at a very reasonable price. The server was pleasant and seemed genuinely concerned with taking care of us and did a pretty good job even with a quite a few tables to tend to. I can't wait to go…

Rude Service; okay food by senonhipster via Citysearch on 3/22/2008

I love Middle Eastern food, but there are better options in Portland. The food is decent (however, unlike other ME restaurants, they do not make their own bread- who wants to eat microwaved pita bread with their hummus?). However, I…

Pretty Average Food by srkkreddy via Citysearch on 11/12/2007

After having eaten at several other middle easter places (like Ya Hala, Nicholas, Karams), I feel that the food is pretty average... and the portions that they serve is less.\r I expected that atleast I can't go wrong with Baklava... that…

Best Lebanese Food around, beats Ya Halla hands down! by pdxplm via Citysearch on 7/22/2007

We've been meaning to try this place every time we have gone by it. Well, we made a great choice! We typically go to Ya Halla, and the food is ok, the wait to get in is ridiculous!!! My Partner is vegetarian and really isn't all that…

Best Midde Eastern by kimjp via Citysearch on 4/6/2007

This is by far the best middle eastern food in the Portland area. It is high quality and authentic and YUMMY! The lentil soup is especially good. It is smoky, rich, complex and even at 3 times the price it would be a bargain. The…

A lower Hawthorne mainstay, this family-run Lebanese cafe serves authentic Middle Eastern lunches and dinners with a side of Mediterranean hospitality. by Contributor via Citysearch on 1/22/2007

In Short
The dining area channels a Mediterranean villa, with painted columns, ochre-washed walls, and waves of blue-green chiffon rolling across an azure ceiling. SE locals and longtime regulars drop in for pan-Mediterranean…

My new eastside hangout...really good Lebanese food by salsarasta via Citysearch on 1/20/2007

This is only my second review. I have been trying to find a place that I could have a group of my friends come to and it would not break the bank. I think I have found it. I have eaten here several times. The food is consistantly good…

Really authentic Lebanese and very good service...I will return by milesgirl via Citysearch on 1/20/2007

I just wanted to give a heads up to all of you who love middle east food. This restaurant has the best falafel in town. The hummas and tabouli are great as well. I have eaten Lebanese food in the US and abroad and Riyadh's is very…

good food, bad hospitality by mlance via Citysearch on 1/19/2007

I would, as have the other reviewers, recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a good inexpensive meal. My friend made a reservation for 20 people for her birthday party at 8:30 on a Friday evening. She recieved a call that evening soon…

Best Lebanese in Portland! by kelkel_kinzer via Citysearch on 1/12/2007

This is our favorite Lebanese food in Portland! Not only is it the best tasting but also so affordable! If you like falafel, it is the absolute place to be. We live in Seattle and everytime we come to Portland we try to make it to…
