The courage to write this poignant memoir was born out of the authors desire to lift the stigmatism placed on all the beautiful people afflicted with the disease of addiction, as well as providing comfort to those whose lives have been forever changed by the horrific epidemic of addiction providing a chance to know you are not alone Admittedly, the journey of addiction is painful and exhausting for families and loved ones who have little control over their loved ones path. However, the lessons Kathy has learned throughout her journey has brought her a better understanding of the disease of addiction. She vows to never be silent in spreading the word of needed acceptance and support of those who have fell victim to the univited “monster”, No More Stigmatism. No More Shame.
