Savannah Wawner, MSPAS, PA-C

Savannah Wawner, MSPAS, PA-C is a physician assistant specializing in Pediatric Neurology for the past 5 years with MUSC Children's Health. After graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Master of Science degree, she completed an 18-month Pediatric Neurology Fellowship and holds additional certification as a Brain Injury Specialist. Mrs. Wawner is the medical provider for the MUSC Pediatric Concussion Clinic where she evaluates patients and oversees their multidisciplinary concussion management. In addition, she treats a variety of pediatric conditions including brain injuries, headache disorders, seizure disorders, sleep disorders, developmental disorders and other neurologic conditions presenting in newborns through teenagers. Her clinical interests include concussions, headaches, syncopal episodes, non-epileptic events, and tic disorders. Mrs. Wawner believes in patient and family-centered care. She practices medicine with a collaborative approach, consulting with additional specialists when warranted and sharing decision-making with families whenever possible. She takes pride in her emphasis on considering each patient as an individual and maintaining open communication.
