James Kenton - Tennessee

9.James Kenton is a Tennessee roofer hailing from North Carolina, where he spent most of his 25+ years in the metal roofing business. Nowadays, the Tennessee roofer is an independent contractor and manages things on the back end.

Many have been introduced to Kenton through the criminal case against him. Although dismissed, the case led to the authorities seizing his land and boat, made local news, and was a source of distress for the Tennessee roofer.

In August 2021, the criminal case against Kenton was dismissed. The same year, he filed a corruption case against the state. It recently entered pretrial discovery; the state refused to comply with Kenton’s discovery request.
