Don't be discouraged by the long lines at Mandola's: they'll buy you the time you'll need to decide what to order from the well-constructed menu of regional specialties. It's hard to ignore the wonderful doughy smells emanating from the… Read Full Editorial

We love going here. we take everyone we know to this restaurant, and have also been to the location in Dripping Springs. We just need a Mandola's North in Round Rock Please. Fresh, delicious ingrediants, and reasonably priced. Something…
Stay away from south location by katharinethib via Citysearch on 8/18/2011
Liked the food and would frequent their establishments on a regular basis. Not anymore and I would recommend anyone who wants to have an enjoyable dinner to find a dinner different location. Mandola's is great if you like to be verbally…
Best Italian food in place. by juliovp01 via Citysearch on 12/29/2010
In Mandola?s I got the best Italian food in town, been in Italy and i don't feel difference in the food. They serve an excellent lasagna and also great pizzas. If you are planning a trip to Italy to try the food, you could save your plane…

Great stuff by J D via Insider Pages on 2/1/2010
You can buy pantry items---oils, dry goods----or order from the counter, or sit down and eat. This place is owned by Damian Mandola of Carrabba's etc fame. He is now in Austin, actually owns a winery. A definite must for any foodie.
Mandola's Italian Market is real Italian by Jeanine M via Insider Pages on 1/7/2010
This is the real thing! Absolutely wonderful bread and pastries. They make a chocolate mousse type dessert that is too good to be true.
A worthy Italian market by Tough Critic via Citysearch on 1/4/2010
Stumbled on Mandola's visiting from Colorado (I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY of Italian heritage) Didn't eat in but purchased some of their prepared foods. The home made mozzarella was some of the best I have ever had, The eggplant…
Ehhh so so by RayFoodLover via Citysearch on 10/22/2009
Tried Mandola's and I personally don't see paying that much money to stand in line, order at the counter, sit in a cold atmosphere and not feel every welcome at all. The Gelato was alright but wasn't out of this world.
Best pizza in Austin by luludheir via Citysearch on 7/4/2009
The have the best pizza in Austin. It is delicious and not greasy. Their market is also great if you like to cook.
Tasty by irishindc71 via Citysearch on 3/22/2009
Great food at reasonable prices. Love the thin pizzas and the fun little market inside.
There are better places to go by non20 via Citysearch on 8/17/2008
I have tried this place a couple of time as well as the new place Trattoria Lisina and these places have to be the worst "Italian" food there is. I have read the other comments and am not sure if these people realize that food should have…
Best Italian Food!!! by Kimberly H via Insider Pages on 6/9/2008
This is the BEST place to get Italian food in Austin. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. They serve everything from panninis to pizzas. Their gnocchi is the best I have ever had! In addition to their restaurant, they have a coffee…
Badass Italian Food by austinfoodgirl via Citysearch on 4/27/2008
I highly recommend eating here. Ask them about their fancy restaurant in Driftwood, it's badass also. I am one picky AustinFoodGirl.
wine, cheese, wine and cheese, and a concrete fountain by tuesdaythursday via Citysearch on 2/23/2008
Mandola's Italian Market is a delightful restaurant located in the Triangle. \r

Although exceptionally "fratty" (and thus a tad unbearable) on the weekends, stop by any Tuesday night and relax while little Italy envelopes you. The…
Go Once for the Experience....but avoid the weekend! by notacheapdate via Citysearch on 1/27/2008
Mandola's is the place to be if you like a crowd. I went on a Saturday night, and as expected, the line was out the door. The place is definitely for wine lovers since every other person in line had a drink in hand (I wouldn't be able to…
Map is in error by bobg12345 via Citysearch on 1/7/2008
My Review is of this map.....1 star at best. Mandola's that is being reviewed by most reviewers here is on Lamar between 45th and 51st Streets. Map shows it down by River....Don't know what is there, but its not the market.
THANK YOU FOR COMING TO AUSTIN!!! by rp4runner via Citysearch on 12/9/2007
The food at Mandola's market is outstanding, and their new restaurant Trattoria Lisina in Driftwood is also outstanding. It's so nice to finally have great Italian food options in Austin. I wish we had a market in SW Austin. Keep up the…
would be romantic if it weren't so loud... by dehiller via Citysearch on 8/19/2007
I enjoyed the attractive decor--wall murals, brick, wood--but the place is really loud...not least because they've got tables upon tables--no elbow room to speak of--and it's often really busy. The sandwiches (panini) are good, but the…
Love at first sight... by webella via Citysearch on 6/27/2007
Being a native New Yorker, reminds me of a Balducci coupled with a bistro like quality...nice wine selction, good food, and helpful staff. I loved seeing brands of foodstuffs that I remember from NYC...
