Donnell Bowen, DO

Dr. Donnell Bowen honorably served in the United States Army for 15 years as a
cardiothoracic surgeon and continues to serve in the Army Reserves. Dr. Bowen began
his civilian career in 2022 at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, where he acted as
Deputy Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery for three years before relocating to North Texas.
Dr. Bown is fellowship-trained in thoracic surgery. His areas of focus include aortic
surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting including multi-arterial grafting, heart valve
surgery, surgery for atrial fibrillation (MAZE, convergent procedure), and minimally-
invasive transcatheter therapies to treat valve disease and other heart disorders.
