After completing my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, I started my career as an entry level engineer. I've always been willing to take on new challenges and, as my career progressed, I am proud to have been part of some great organizations where I was afforded opportunities to serve in a broad range of interesting engineering roles. I jumped at the chance for promotion into my first leadership role and, as I moved up, was blessed to with progressive levels of responsibility as a leader of both engineering and operational organizations. After more than 35 years, I have discovered my core passion is solving practical problems. I get immersed, consumed, and acutely focused on solving a practical problem. In The Wrath of Khan, Spock said Admiral Kirk's "first best destiny" was "commanding a starship" and "anything else is a waste of material." Similarly, I have discovered my first, best destiny is the role of an engineer. There is and forever will be a high demand for problem-solvers with the grit, tenacity, determination, talent, and passion to rollup their sleeves, dive into the difficult challenges, and never give up until the job is done. This is the mission of Texas Engineering Services and what we are all about. It is my vision for the company and why I am the Chief Engineer in lieu of some other role. Got a problem?
