The number of sessions depends on a few factors. How long the client has had the condition(s) and how many symptoms they have. Someone with only a few symptoms that they have had a short time may only need two to three sessions while someone with multiple symptoms may need a series of eight to 20 treatments to reach their health goals. Those with chronic long-term and complex conditions may need longer treatment periods of 6 months to a year. We discuss with each new client the number of visits they will likely need based on our experience treating others with a similar goal and situation.
The needles are hair thin and most people report feeling little or nothing during insertion. While resting most people do not feel them and will report a feeling of euphoria similar to that of a runners high after treatment. Different people feel different things during their sessions. Those who are sensitive may feel some subtle sensations in their body like a tingly sensation while other people will not feel anything. The most important part is that people feel improvement in their conditions and symptoms.
First visits are 60-90 minutes depending on complexity of conditions and health, follow-up visits are 40 minutes. First visits are more in depth as we review health history and goals of the client, while follow-up visits we review and changes and perform re-exams as needed. Each session includes an intake and treatment.
The number of needles will vary depending on the symptoms and complexity of the health and conditions of the client. Those with only a few symptoms or one non-complex condition may need 5-10 needles, while someone with multiple symptoms and a complex condtion may require 12-24 needles. Some patients prefer less needles and we will accomodate those request. We have the philosophy that less is more meaning that we reach the health goals while using the pressure points that acheive the best results.
