Peter C Chen , MD

Peter Chen, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric cardiovascular surgeon specializing in complex and chronic heart conditions and diseases. His clinical interests include complex neonatal heart disease, single ventricle palliation, pediatric and adult congenital heart disease, pediatric heart failure, and minimally invasive approaches to congenital heart surgery. He’s board-certified in thoracic surgery. Chen is an assistant professor of cardiovascular surgery at the UTHealth Houston Children’s Heart Institute. He remains actively involved in mentoring medical students and residents while continually advancing surgical education.
