Dr. Lucas Cavallin is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology with top honors from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. Thereafter, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami, Florida and then his medical degree (MD) from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. While in medical school, Dr. Cavallin was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his high academic achievements and compassionate care of patients. He also won numerous awards during medical and graduate schools, including 1st Place in the Clinical Research Poster Award by the Wound Healing Society, the Alving Award given to the medical student with the most outstanding research achievements, and 1st Place in the Basic/Translational Science Award by the UM/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
