Shep's is not good as it used to be. If you want real slow smoked pit bbq go to Montalba (The Olde Store) bbq shack 10 miles north of Palestine on hwy 19 at the intersection of fm 321 in Montalba.

Sheps has been here for as long as I can remember, and their barbeque is out of this world. I love the family setting and their worldclass food. Everyone here is friendly and always on their toes.
