She completed her emergency medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Dao earned her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology from Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She’s a clinical assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical School and serves on the Retina Foundation of the Southwest’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Dao participates in clinical research to advance ophthalmology knowledge and has authored several academic papers. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Ophthalmology Association, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology.
