Rowlett Veterinary Clinic was opened in 1977 by Dr. Curtis Jung and was one of the first veterinarians in Rowlett Texas. Still located on Hwy 66 he began construction on the current location. After many hours of manual labor, Dr. Jung and his wife Mrs. Betty completed their dream and opened the current location in 1986. In 2014, after 37 years in practice, Dr. Jung made the hard decision to retire and sold his practice to Legacy Veterinary Group. His practice lives on with our wonderful veterinarians, Dr. Dona Elton and Dr. Lindsey Sampson that continue to love and care for his furry friends. With our network of animal hospitals available through Legacy Veterinary Group, we also have access to 24 hour Emergency Care and Veterinary Specialty Services.

VERY EXPENSIVE by Richard R via Insider Pages on 5/22/2015

TAKE A LOT OF MONEY.\r \r Wow, I realize vet clinics have overhead and need to make a profit, but the prices these people charge are outrageous. Even VCA (Which is a giant corporation) is cheaper and offers a free office visit. After…

Dr Yung Retired - new owner by Suzie A via Insider Pages on 7/8/2014

DR Jung at Rowlett Veterinary Clinic has retired and all his staff is gone.We just went to take the boys in for their allergy shot and what use to cost 20.00 a piece is now 55.00 because apparently now you have to pay 35.00 just to walk in…

Be forewarned! by Teresa K via Insider Pages on 9/24/2013

Please beware of this clinic. They nearly killed my dog. She was in for her routine vaccinations, and had a terrible reaction. The vet claims to have premedicated her to avoid a reaction, however that was not the case. She was only given…

20 year plus customer by Pamela W via Insider Pages on 9/9/2012

I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for over 20 years. The building is aged, the info on your animals is kept on index cards and not computers, the main waiting room is furnished with uncomfortable wooden benches, and yes...it smells…

extremely satisfied! by Marci C via Insider Pages on 7/31/2012

I saw all the great reviews and needed to get my foster dog her microchip and a few other things too. From the outside and decor, the place is nothing special BUT who cares? The staff is extremely caring and the cost was unreal, anywhere…

Good vet! by Dawn T via Insider Pages on 7/28/2010

My English Bulldog had both his cherry eyes fixed here. The is an expensive surgery & I had moved to the Frisco/McKinney area.... land of high-priced vets, Xrays and needless tests. After talking to Betty, I loaded up the dog & took him…

My dog peed in the floor by Judy B via Insider Pages on 7/1/2010

I told Dr. Jung I wished I could find a doctor for myself who was ask good as he is. I'm a 20+ years customer, and I thank God for Dr. Jung. PS: His wife cleaned up the dog pee.

Long time customer by Susan B via Insider Pages on 5/10/2010

We have been going to Dr Jung for 24 years. I trust their opinion, not a high tech Dr but usually spot on. They are not afraid to do additional tests either. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

A great Vet! by Nicole W via Insider Pages on 3/2/2010

The only place I take my animals. We have been going to Rowlett Vet Clinic for 15+ years & my parents years before that. They are vets that actually care for animals because they have a passion for it, not to make a buck. There office…

Rowlett Veterinary Clinic is a blessing to pet owners by Margaret L via Insider Pages on 9/17/2009

It is a wonderful place to take your loved pets. Those who are not happy - stay away - one less person in line while I wait to see one of the most compassionate and qualified vets around.

Rowlett Veterinary Clinic is the BOMB! by Brian E via Insider Pages on 9/2/2009

When I first met Dr. Jung and the staff I must say that I didnt have any complaints but also had nothing to say. Over the past 7 plus years Rowlett Vet Clinic has impressed me several times.\r They are caring people that offer the best,…

The best of the Best by Pam M via Insider Pages on 8/28/2009

I love Dr Jung and his staff. They are real people who honestly care about you and your pet. When we first moved here and were looking for a vet I took my elderly beagle to one of those fancy places because he wasnt eating. When I walked…

Loyal customers no matter what by Patrice G via Insider Pages on 7/17/2009

I am sad to read the bad reviews- misdiagnosis and miscommunications. I know that there are two sides to every coin and I stand behind Dr. Jung, Betty and those he chooses to employ. If a fancy doc had gotten a bad test kit, or had an…

not all vets are right all the time by alli p via Insider Pages on 1/27/2009

this vet clinic is not fancy, but it is realistically priced. the staff does care about the animals. however, mistakes are made here as well as anywhere else. i would caution anyone against making a decision to put an animal down or give…

Too Many Misdiagnoses by Jennifer D via Insider Pages on 1/4/2009

I am highly disappointed with Rowlett Veterinary Clinic. I had adopted a dog, and shortly after we got him, he began itching, and he had an awful odor. We took him to the vet, and they tested him for mange, and said it was negative, and it…

BEST VET AROUND by J S via Insider Pages on 9/16/2008

Curtis has been our family vet since the late 1970's - was our neighbor for many years, too. We wouldn't have anyone else see to our pets!!! His clinic may not be fancy, and may have the odor of animals, but his prices are realistic and…

Incompentent staff and doctor by Marian S via Insider Pages on 6/4/2008

So the recepionist at the Rowlett Veterinary Clinic told us no food or water past 8pm for Harvey the day before neutering. When we got there, the nurse said rabbits were to continually get food and water the receptionist was mistaken. We…

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!! by Jennifer F via Insider Pages on 5/9/2008

Some of these reviews focus on the facilities at Rowlett Veterinary Clinic. If you are looking for shiny, new, upscale facilities (and the outrageous prices that come with them) DO NOT COME HERE!! If you are looking for caring, friendly…

It's never about $ here by Kim G via Insider Pages on 1/15/2008

I have taken my animals here for many years. I have had the best care and perspective when it came to the treatment of my animals needs. I appreciate having the option of going somewhere for good care and advice, and yet not have a huge…

They take good care of our cat by Caren W via Insider Pages on 10/23/2007

We like 'em. They are gentle and very thorough with our beloved special child and seem as on the mark as any vet we've ever used. The cat feels comfortable there, and he doesn't take well to some doctors. You could say, "they're the cat's…
