Mountcastle Plastic Surgery

Dr. Timothy Mountcastle graduated with honors from Howard University and is a recognized specialist in plastic surgery. As a Virginia native, he is pleased to return to the area after completing his training in Louisiana. He trained at the prestigious Charity Hospital in New Orleans for seven years and earned degrees in both general and plastic surgery from Louisiana State University. During his tenure at LSU, he was appointed chief resident in both general and plastic surgery.

This position is held by the most qualified resident as elected by the staff and his peers. Dr. Mountcastle is currently board certified in general surgery and a candidate for membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, which is reserved for members with all true honors accompanied by the responsibility to sustain the vision and goals of the society: Professionalism, Scholarship, Leadership and Service.

Practicing aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for five years, Dr. Mountcastle is one of only a few plastic surgeons in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area who performs "DIEP" breast reconstruction . Dr. Mountcastle specializes in breast surgery, including augmentations, reductions, and reconstructions. His other areas of expertise include the treatment of VNUS Ablation, abdominoplasty and liposuction.
