Canteen Ashland

Canteen was born due to a partnership between the former owner of Ashland Coffee & Tea and the former owners of Comfort. Canteen specializes in comfort foods for breakfast and lunch in historic Ashland, Virginia with locally roasted coffees and whole leaf tea and tisanes. Also, we will be serving craft beers, wines, and specialty mimosas. Outdoor and indoor seating are available and you'll often find lawn games and/or live music to entertain everyone!
OUR COVID WINTER BUSINESS PLAN
Canteen is focused on providing a healthy environment to our guests in a manner that it most comfortable for you.
We offer take-out. You may order online or call-in, then call us when you arrive, and we will bring out your order.
We utilize all disposable dinnerware, but you may request hardware if eating on the premises.
We provide outdoor menus with QR codes, so that you are able to sit outdoors; order online; place a note in the order to tell us where you are; and we will bring out your order and clean-up afterwards.
All game pieces require a driver’s license or credit card left at the register, so that we are sure to receive the items back for cleaning and sanitizing.

We have pivoted our business hours and model to accommodate the winter and COVID months.
Canteen is available to rent Mon.-Thurs. for business meetings, family events, home school classes, and fundraisers.
Our rental fee is $50/hour.
The fee is reduced to $25/hour when food is provided. If food/beverage orders average $100/ hour, then rental fee is waived.

We utilize hospital strength cleaning products to keep surfaces sanitized.
Our team wear masks throughout service and food preparations.
We provide heating towers and fire pits for your outdoor comfort.
