First Command Financial Advisor - Liam Godbold

Liam Godbold joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2025. He is excited about the opportunity to help people make the smart financial decisions that are essential to long-term financial security.

A graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology , Liam holds Series Series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Virginia.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Liam serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. His thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Liam will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

Active in his community, Liam is a member of St. Patrick's Orthodox Church and the Virginia Army National Guard.

In his free time, Liam enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with family.
