First Command Financial Advisor - John Taylor

John Taylor joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in November 2021, following a 28-year career in the United States Army Reserve, Oregon Army National Guard, and Active Army, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. John understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

John has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown and a Master’s degree in Military History from US Army Command and General Staff College, Masters in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors in Political Science from Oregon State University. He holds Series 7 and Series 6 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia.

John is committed to coaching clients to pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves.

Active in his community, John is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and The American Legion.

In his free time, John enjoys golf, reading, and working out.
