Cama Beach by dtwhite1 on 11/14/2015 What started out as an inexpensive and affordable getaway for all family's (@ $35 a night when park first opened) has given into high demand equaling higher cost. My being a single mom and disabled makes having vacations few and far between. With the price of cabins being over 100 a night I am no longer able to afford this luxury. My son (and the friends we shared Cama Beach with) have been asking to go back to Cama Beach. Sadly the price has gone up 3xs the amount when opened. I've had to cancel reservation and the Park took $20 reservation/cancelation fee. I think that stinks. Even a hotel doesn't charge that much for a cancellation if they charge anything! I was told that if I cancelled w/in 30 days before reservation they would have charged me 1 whole night non-refundable. I guess that was supposed to make me feel better. I just expected better customer service since I had been there from the beginning,every year since they opened until their prices got as high as hotels. I thought parks were meant for every income level. Deluxe cabin is $131 a night off season.
