Pecos Pit BBQ is a no-frills, one-stop shop. It's best known for its beef brisket doused in a peppery sauce, slabs of ham, and slow cooked pork---all served on soft onion buns. Sides of beans are packed with chunks of pork. It's lunch only… Read Full Editorial
Simple, Hot, and Good by Jenny J. via Judy's Book on 12/23/2011
Favorite BBQ joint in Seattle. Good Briskets, Pulled Pork, Beans, Corn, Hot sausage. Seating is outdoor only. Prices about $6 for a sandwich and they are good. The medium is about a Thai 3 star.
Go for the Hot by Local E. via Judy's Book on 10/25/2011
Simple niche but really good. I love their pulled pork, and usually get it Hot. Will warn you this is equivalent to 5 star Thai. 4 stars because parking is hard during rush hr.

3 Stars for Not Being Open by switzblitz via Citysearch on 10/10/2010
I drove here at 5pm on a Friday and they were closed for some reason. I was so bummed because I read so many great things about this place.
I will try it at some point, but it will have to be sometime in the future. I will call ahead.

some of the best BBQ in Seattle by Douglas A. B via Insider Pages on 8/19/2009
Never met anyone who has eaten here and not loved the food. Their BBQ truly is a standard few others can even come close to. But it's a lunch only spot, and if you're in too big a hurry you might be frustrated by the line that is almost…

Great BBQ by Jay R via Insider Pages on 6/10/2009
Had lunch at Pecos again today. The best pork sandwich I have had in a long time. Their BBQ sauce is outstanding. It is worth the wait in the long line and don't forget to "spike it".
Sandwhiches on the go by Elaine W via Insider Pages on 1/3/2009
Great place to pick up a bbq sandwhich. Located in an old gas station. Open limited hours and often a line up. A testimony to the great food and consistent quality.

It just tastes good. The sauce is good and I recommend 'spiking' it, which means adding a hotlink to your sandwich. You really can't go wrong by eating here.
a treat! by dickymo via Citysearch on 11/6/2008
If your in the mood for a sandwich, you cant do much better in Seattle than Pecos. Pulled pork and beef, or sliced beef, those are your choices. No indoor seating, cash only. Pure, Simple, I love it! Besides the sandwich, which is a…

Okay, but not the best I've ever had... by tcdbiz via Citysearch on 8/21/2006
Made the trip solely because of the fantastic reviews. Not completely disappointed, but this is not by a long shot the best BBQ I've ever had. The main question I had was - Where's the flavor? Watery sauce somewhat reminiscent of Carolina…
Love it! by gmmace via Citysearch on 7/6/2006
I love Pecos Pit. I've been going for several years and Debra recognizes me on sight now. I get the pork medium hot with a spike. If you get it wrapped for dinner for an extra $.25, they separate bun, meat and sauce, which makes it nice…

over 20 years and still going back by Bert C. via Judy's Book on 5/9/2006
I've been fortunate to have been enjoying the sliced beef, pork & shredded pork (and yes, "spike it" for the spice) for almost 25 years. The menu is simple, the food great, the sauce flavorful and the heat as hot as you'd like it. Over the…
