Understanding patients’ injuries is so important, but I feel taking the time to understand their overall physical, social and mental health conditions, as well as their lifestyles, is essential to providing the best care possible.

I have always been drawn to this specialty and love treating patients in need of acute care or immediate surgical intervention. It’s a rewarding experience to be part of their entire care, from assessing them for surgery, to helping them during their procedures, to watching them heal afterward.
