Try the Pepperoni pizza by BeFamousToday via Citysearch on 12/6/2010
I don't usually order pepperoni pizza it's too common. But they have it available by the slice. It is about the best you'll find anywhere.
Thin and delicious. Better than many others I've tried.
The calzone is a meal for two. Fantastic.

This ex-New Yorker was pretty happy to find Al's. They have really good basic Italian Take-out food, and the pizza is very, very good. They really do care, they'll appreciate the local business and you'll feel like family. Great bread…

Al's is a little hole-in-the-wall take out place with really good food.Authentic, New-York style pizza by the slice, calzone, sandwiches and a variety of excellent pasta dishes. They also do catering and local delivery.

Tiny place, huge following by Cheryl P via Insider Pages on 8/17/2008
Al's is about as big as your patio at home, but it is busy ALL the time. They have great specials and you can get pizza by the slice. If they have the ingredient, just ask and they will put it on your pizza for you.
The most incredible italian food! by kalina27 via Citysearch on 12/21/2006
I was first introduced to Al's Cafe at my company Christmas party. He was our carter for the party and I have to say I was sooo impressed. I couldn't get enough of his food. It wasn't only me, every person at the party kept going back for…
Nasty service by soccerplyr9 via Citysearch on 5/8/2006
I am an individual involved in a large group delivery order from Al's on a bi-monthly basis. However, more recently, their delivery service has gone down the drain. The young lady who first took our order spoke too fast. And then in order…
You Want Pizza? Al's Got THE BEST! by Rio D via Insider Pages on 6/13/2005
Al's is tucked behind the Blockbuster / La Cave restaurant building at the intersection of Irvine Avenue and 17th Street, next door to the 7-Eleven. I developed my craving for Al's Greek Special pizza even before I moved back to…
Classic, awesome NY-style pizzeria by erineleone via Citysearch on 5/3/2005
The best NY-style pizza (thin crust, large slices) and it's pretty cheap too. I love being back in NY and just grabbing a slice here and there and Al's is the only pizza place I've been too around here that actually tastes like pizza that…
Awesome by bifftannen77 via Citysearch on 12/24/2004
Everything at Al's is tasty. The Al's special pizza is the best. Good sandwiches and pasta too. Been eating there for over 10 years! Not really a place you eat at, but good for take out or delivery.
Closest to NYC on the West Coast by jmtrudeau via Citysearch on 8/4/2004
Al's has about the closest to real New York style Pizza on the west coast and it is absolutely delicious. The Lasagna is great too! Very informal atmosphere and comfortable.
