Hotel is in a convenient location but it's not in an area that you can walk around easy so you will definitely need a car. They recently updated their rooms so those are pretty nice with a great view.

I've stayed at the Hotel La Jolla at the Shores on a few occasions. Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean, great staff who is very accomodating. Goes out of their way for their guests.
