This place was made for tourists. You walk around a harbor village in downtown San Diego and can buy things and eat. There's a merry go round too.

A bunch of touristy shops and some touristy eateries make up this seaside "village". My girlfriend being a native of San Diego has nostalgia for the place. I think it's just tacky. Take the trolley and avoid the parking situation.

A small village near the harbor, you'll find restaurants, caf?s, and a few shopping spots here. A good place to take a stroll and hang out.

This shop has the most beautiful collection of shells, including bracelets, earrings and necklaces. Worth the stop in to see.
Shell Co by Michelle K via Insider Pages on 7/18/2010
Fun store in Seaport Village that sells jewelry, trinkets, decorations and misc other items made from shells. The sea-inspired arts and crafts are so beautiful and reasonably priced.
Okay Mexican Food by Michelle K via Insider Pages on 7/18/2010
Located next in Sea Port Village, Margarita's can get quite the crowd. I recommend that you do not go during the normal lunch or dinner rush. The food is okay, but a little expensive for what you get. They have delicious margaritas.
Tourist Spot by Cindy B via Insider Pages on 3/21/2010
Seaport Village is great because it has wonderful stores that are not the typical stores you'll find at the mall. I love the atmosphere and their carousel.

Great place for families! by Sugarpea via Citysearch on 7/2/2009
I've been going to Seaport Village since I was a very small child and it has always held a special place in my heart. I always looked forward to the candy store near the gazebo, where we'd get candy apples or fudge (or both) and dance to…
