Great food! Overpriced? by CSMobileUser via Citysearch on 3/9/2009

The food is great! It is good homecooked food. I think the place is a little overpriced. $5 dollars for a little side bowl of arroz con gandules. I got entre pollo a la plancha and arroz con gandules for $14. Maybe I will try it again.

\r The food is great! I like the homecooked food style at this place. It is basic Cuban and/or Puerto Rican food which includes the famous arroz con gandules. However, I found it a overpriced. 3 of us had dinner there and it was $90…

Fried bananas! by Kathy S via Insider Pages on 1/2/2009

The food here is fabulous! It has some wonderful, different dishes you can't find elsewhere, the service is great, and the atmosphere is fun. You HAVE to try the fried bananas. They're awesome!

Good Food by Alisa H via Insider Pages on 8/3/2008

When my family wants to enjoy familiar Puerto Rican cuisine without cooking it, we go to Andres. The food is great, well seasoned and it's a great location to introduce friends to "our" homecooking. The service is a different story. My…

Very Good Authentic Cuban Food by jmasterj via Citysearch on 8/11/2007

Having lived in South Florida for many years, I've dined at many Cuban restaurants from the high-end to the low-end and everything in between. Stopped by Andre's for lunch, place was clean and tastefully decorated, restrooms were clean,…

San Diego's slice of Cuba by Douglas L. via Judy's Book on 8/11/2005

We went here because we saw they had a coupon in the Entertainment book. It was a unique experience and they have traditional Cuban cuisine -- black beans, fried plantains. I had the ropa vieja which is seasoned meat that is shredded like…

Great Food by Gwendolyn B. via Judy's Book on 8/10/2005

The atmosphere of this restaurant has a very homey feel. It's a small restaurant with lots of windows, sunshine and breeze. It was easy to feel like your table was the only one in the room. The service was great and the food was very…

Excellent Cuban food!! by Emma P via Insider Pages on 5/28/2005

I love their ropa vieja dish which is a cuban dish. They have a variety of cuban dishes that are very filling and absolutely delicious!!! They also have a little latin market next door in case you want to make the dishes yourself.
