I love to pop in here on a North Beach pub crawl. It is a low key place, often crowed. The bartenders are good at quickly serving new people as they come up to the bar even when it is packed.

i always like this place, but i've yet to go there when it's not totally packed and hard to move. get there earlier to actually get a spot at the bar or be able to play pool. fun music and fun scene, very collegeish atmosphere.

Pretty good all-around bar, and if you are in the area, a nice place to stop in. Very good for meeting up before you go to a nearby dance club. The crowd is good, the service is attentive and good.
