Tulan Restaurant is funky but tasty and inexpensive! by barry m via Insider Pages on 12/23/2009
An oasis in a dodgy area of the city accessible from the financial district. If you can bring yourself to step over the winos on 6th avenue your palette and budget will be rewarded for the effort!
tu lan is very good by charlie b via Insider Pages on 1/19/2009
My meal was huge and delicious. I actually had enough food for a large lunch and an even bigger dinner from the meal. Also, make sure you order the iced coffee. You won't be disappointed!

Every time I eat at this place I leave super full and happy because of the generous serving sizes for really reasonable prices. Their VN Ice Coffee is a must if you're a caffeine fiend. While the neighborhood is a little sketch, it's worth…

Go to Vietnam without leaving SF by Celeste C via Insider Pages on 8/3/2005
The food was plentiful, tasty, and freshly prepared. They have a full selection of Vietnamese food at a very moderate price. What lacks in atmosphere is made up for in hospitality and quality at a price that can't be beat.
Great Vietnamese Food by Khairul A via Insider Pages on 3/30/2005
Tulan is located in the Tenderloin between Market and Mission Street
The service and atmosphere isn't that great, but the food more than makes up.
PROS: Inexpensive Dishes
CONS: Seedy Neighborhood
My Review by Mariko C via Insider Pages on 1/25/2005
I have never had a bad dish here and the portions are big enough to share. The shrimp fried rice and spring rolls are a must. I would be surprised if anyone spent more than $10 here. If you get a group, convince them to splurge on the…
