In Short
In an attempt to re-create the pizzas he grew up eating, East Coast transplant Joe D'Amore established this local chain of restaurants in 1972. Today, well-heeled diners scarf down casual Italian classics such as baked… Read Full Editorial

My Review by mimikins14 via Citysearch on 11/14/2012

I love this friendly & cozy little mom and pop Italian place. They are known for their thin crust NY style pizza which can be bought by the slice or by the whole pie. For lunch you can get 2 slices of pizza, soup or salad and a drink. …

Best in Camarillo by Linda W via Insider Pages on 4/12/2010

We eat at D'Amore's at least twice a week. The new chef, Oreste, is awesome. The staff is great, very friendly & efficient. Camarillo is truly limited in good restaurants, this is the best in town.

They say the pizza taste like a great Boston pie? No way. They say they import the water from Boston. Is that the Boston Sewer Department? I am from the northeast. This is not good pizza! Save a few bucks and order pizza from a national…

Yummy Delicious! by nurmaid via Citysearch on 2/3/2006

We tried D'Amore's last night for the first time. I have to agree with the second review in that, is a little on the pricey side, but then - this is Westlake for goodness sake! But, truly they have REALLY great food! It's a bit tiny, so…

BEST PIZZA by bridjd via Citysearch on 1/16/2006

I've been traveling around the world, including Europe, and am missing D'Amore's pizza! The crust is PERFECT, light and crispy, and there is a perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The sauce is also really delicious!!! Most pizzas I've tried…

Great Pizza - Too Expensive by moshlevy via Citysearch on 5/13/2004

They say good things are worth the price, well this may be true for some things, but in reality there are a lot of pizza places out ther with great pie. So when I am choosing my pizza, yeah I will hit D'more's on a special occassion, but…
