There is a small business plaza on 12th st. east of cheesman park. On the south side of the st. is a great breakfast/lunch place called Under the Umbrella Cafe. Great coffee and egg sandwiches.

The menu at Under the Umbrella is short, but the food is very good, the staff is friendly, and the place is just overall pleasant. You can sit inside or outside.

This little cafe is off the beaten path if you don't live in the neighborhood, but it is worth a trip. The service is really friendly, the Bhakti Chai, with a great ginger flavor, is delicious and they serve a simple, tasty breakfast menu.
