terrible by rabillings92 on 3/11/2021 I used D and J towing through AAA last week. The dispatch lady was very nice and to my knowledge, until today, everything had gone smoothly. I got a call from my mechanic today stating that during the tow, the shifter solenoid had been broken which meant in that car, I would have to replace the entire thing, not just the solenoid. This happens when the shifter is forcefully manipulated in to a different gear while parked and is HUGELY common with towing apparently. So, following my call and discussion with my mechanic, I called D and J to see if we could come to some sort of mutual reconciliation. HUGE mistake. I explained the issue to the apparent manager/owner who supposedly is the one who towed my car. After a decently long conversation, he told me that I needed to stop being such a bitch and that it wasn’t his fault I drove a piece of shit car (definitely isn’t a piece of shit) and that he wouldn’t be helping me because I’m a dumb girl and don’t know anything about vehicles. So, following this incredibly pleasant discussion, I called AAA who says they have had previous complaints of this nature with their company and filed a claim on my behalf. I did some more digging and found multiple other reviews of this nature. We will be keeping the parts that have been ruined by D and J and I will have signed statements as well. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend them in any way shape or form. If you would like any of this information sent to you for your personal review of you are looking to use this company, I am happy to send it to you! There are many amazing tow companies out there. Please don’t be foolish and use this one.
