Olinda Isabel Verdecie Feria, MD

Olinda Verdecie, M.D., is a neurologist at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, a part of Baptist Health. Dr. Verdecie specializes in headaches, seizure disorders, memory impairment and tremors. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Prior to joining Marcus Neuroscience Institute in 2022, Dr. Verdecie worked in the medical field for more than 20 years in Cuba, Honduras, Argentina and the United States. She completed a neurology training program at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Havana, Cuba, receiving the Outstanding Resident Award. She then moved to the US to complete her training at Louisiana State University. Dr. Verdecie excels at teaching future doctors and publishing in neurology journals and textbooks. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association. Dr. Verdecie’s approach to patient care is to treat each individual with empathy. She commits herself to understanding her patients’ feelings as she partners with them to achieve the best results possible. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Verdecie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking Cuban and Argentinian food, traveling and Latin dancing.
