Insaf Kouba, MD

Dr. Kouba is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2024. She sees patients at the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.

She was previously clinical assistant professor and associate program director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine/NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.

Dr. Kouba earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and served as chief resident at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. She then completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Northwell at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.

Driven by a deep commitment to improving maternal health, Dr. Kouba’s research focuses on maternal mortality, morbidity, social determinants of health, and other key areas in maternal-fetal medicine. Her dedication is evident through numerous publications and presentations at leading conferences both nationally and internationally.

She speaks Spanish, Arabic and French.
