The problem with the Japanese steakhouse like this is that the quality of your evening tends to depend on the quality and scale of the Chef that prepares your food. \r

I understand you are paying for the experience and entertainment. but I just don't think the price is worth it for the amount of food you get. I guess the whole experience really isn't my thing anyway...I prefer to be able to interact with…

Took my daughter and 7 friends for dinner on her 14th bday. The chef was fantastic and very entertaining. The food was delicious and the service was great. I do want to say not all the chefs are the same and if you happen to get one that…

I love this place. My family and I went on a very busy night, with no reservations and they sat us in 20 minutes max. I totally recommend it.
Pretty good by oHDMDo via Citysearch on 3/5/2011
The foods just that, pretty good. If youre in the mood for some sake and steak, this is your place. The sushi offered is pretty good as well. but i guess you can never go wrong with a california roll.

This location is awful. Worst hinachi grill I've ever been to. The chef was not entertaining, and the food was bad and way overpriced. Never again.

The food was great and everyone was nice but the place looks and sounds like a Denny's restaurant. Not a Benihana style at all.

I always have a good time when I go here. I do not suggest sitting on the booth side (where they dont cook in front of you) It seems my food is always over done and the rice is sticky. I like my food hot, and whats better than directly off…

Benihana in Coral Gables is a waste of money! by samantha47474 via Citysearch on 2/22/2007
The Benihana restaurant in Coral Gables not only had terrible food, but had poor service as well. I found the whole Benihana's experience to be overpriced and terribly underrated. There are so many better restaurants in the Gables, don't…
Knife-wielding chefs put on a show at this communal Japanese grill. by Contributor via Citysearch on 11/9/2006
In Short
Benihana started out as a tiny four-table restaurant in New York City's theater district before becoming an international chain. Diners sit around large tables where chefs ostentatiously chop, slice, stir-fry and grill.…
