Rami J Aboumourad, OD

Dr. Rami Aboumourad is a practicing optometrist who specializes in comprehensive and emergency eye care. He attended optometry school at the University of Houston College of Optometry and then post-graduate residency training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Following residency training, he served as clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, TX before returning to Bascom Palmer. Dr. Aboumourad has a passion for detection and early identification of ocular disease. Many diseases of the eye can be detected long before they are symptomatic, and often, there is a window to act where damage to structures of the eye can be minimized.
