This branch of "The 'shroom" chain is our favorite. We think the starring pizzas just taste a notch better here. An array of toppings such as spinach, tofu and broccoli, along with meats that are cooked in-house, give the pie fan with… Read Full Editorial
great pizza ! by Gab B via Insider Pages on 1/2/2013
Amazing pizza ! Sometimes this location will burn the bottom though and the bar-tender order taker is not accommodating but other than that, it's awesome.

great lunch by Steffani L via Insider Pages on 8/31/2009
great pizza with really fresh toppings. I like to go to this location for lunch, as they have a great patio and the service is a little better. Salad, slice of pizza, and drink: perfect lunch!

Tasty pies come with a side of '70s nostalgia at the quintessential, spruced-up college town pizzeria. by Contributor via Citysearch on 6/20/2008
In Short
With satellite locations in big-time university towns like Chapel Hill and Athens, this popular Atlanta chain knows what makes a college pizzeria. Newer strip mall locations aside, staple fixtures include good music,…
Great Pizza by Deidre's A via Insider Pages on 1/24/2008
I fell in love with Mellow Mushroom in Midtown over 8 years ago! This is actually the BEST Mellow Mushroom in Atlanta. The pizza is great, the employees look a little "far out" but are harmless
Average Pizza ~ Pricey by drsnga via Citysearch on 9/2/2007
After my first takeout order from Mellow Mushroom I have to say I am dissapointed. The pizza was not bad, however I was shocked when I picked up my order. The website doesn't list the prices for the menu items, so I was excpecting a total…
MELLOW MUSHROOM by lilgirl1231 via Citysearch on 2/5/2007
The Mellow Mushroom off of Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody, is absolutely disgusting. They have dogs running in and out of the restraunt and behind the kitchen. Also, between closing time and 5 a.m. they hold poker turnaments where they…

The ORIGINAL Mellow Mushroom, still in perfect form! by Sara W via Insider Pages on 7/22/2005
This is the original Mellow Mushroom, and despite some renovation a couple of years ago, the original flavor and atmosphere of the restaurant remains. The staff is friendly and efficient, and in my experience have never messed an order up.…
Great Product by Eletherios via Citysearch on 4/30/2003
I have owned 8 pizza restuarants from 1990 to 2000 and Mellow Mushrooms concept and product is one of the freshest in Atlanta. The crust is the key to their great pizza, but their salads and hoagies are very good as well. Also it looks…
don't DO IT by juim via Citysearch on 4/23/2003
If you are from the south, a college kid, a yuppy or hippy, or one who likes fancy pizza's this is your place! If you want authentic Italian Pizza you will be dissapointed. Althought the variety is good the price will make you want head…
Old reliable by pnutgirl via Citysearch on 4/23/2003
I've never been to the LaVista location but I've been to many others and I've never had a bad experience. Service can be spotty but the pizza is awesome - 2nd only to Dagwood's in Norcross for me. And their esperanza salad dressing is to…

Good Pizza! by zenwall via Citysearch on 3/7/2003
As far as Atlanta goes, Mellow Mushroom is at the top! By far the best crust is the city, which is the back bone of any good pizza! There sauce is good, and the toppings are of a higher standerd then any other chain restaurant...IMO

Solid pizza. Excellent crust. Unique taste. All round great pizza.
The service was okay. The only complaint is having to pay at the register as opposed to the waitress taking the check.
Service not so mellow... by QueeenB via Citysearch on 2/10/2003
Love the pizza, but not enough to put up with the surly attitude & indifferent service at the Northlake location (the Emory location's not like that, but they're pretty far from my neighborhood). Johnny's is just as good (often better),…
Better the next morning by dfb78 via Citysearch on 2/10/2003
My first visit to Mellow Mushroom was last night. Pizza was hard and fairly bland. I plan on trying it one more time to ease my mind of all these good ratings I see, but I am not impressed so far. I microwaved the leftovers today, which…
Shroomin Good by csmolar via Citysearch on 2/10/2003
By far my favorite place to eat. This place even beats New York style. I have yet to find a pizza that comes close. The atmosphere is origional and unique to each location. Their Hogies also rock my world.
