Kenneth Tuan, MD, FACS, provides care with the Springfield Clinic's Orthopedics Department and sees patients in Decatur where he has been providing care since 2006.Dr. Tuan earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.From a young age, Dr. Tuan knew he wanted to help people in any way. "I was more of a hands-on learner; if I can see it, I can understand it, and medicine seemed to fill that niche," he says.Dr. Tuan's scope of practice includes any and all orthopedic needs. In particular, through his sports medicine background, he specializes in treating a lot of knee and shoulder issues.
