Dawson’s Services is a family owned auto shop with more than 20 years in the automotive industry. We pride ourselves on great customer relations, and the ability to turn out quality work in a reasonable time frame. We are a moderately-priced shop that uses high-quality parts for all repairs. We offer a full range of diagnostic services on all Foreign and Domestic vehicles (gas, diesel, and hybrids). Some of the services we provide are engine replacements, transmission replacements, brakes, tune-ups, suspension, front end, rear differential, electrical, and all other related auto issues.

My name is Tim Dawson owner of Dawson’s Services. I grew up in Saint Paul, MN, where I started in the auto industry by watching my father at a very young age. I then took advanced auto mechanic classes in high school. After graduation in 1991, I went into the Army and Army Reserves, where I was a diesel technician for 8 years. While in the reserves, I worked for Tires Plus as a mechanic. They specialized in tires, front ends, suspension, brakes, and alignments. I stopped working for them because they wanted the mechanics to sell more work than what was needed. I felt that if I worked for myself, I could run a shop that would treat people fairly and be able to offer my customers a reasonable price. So I started TD Auto, where I had a successful business for the past 15 years. I never had to do any advertising for TD Auto because I lived by one rule that my father taught me: “If you treat a person fairly, they will tell one or two people. But if you treat that person wrong, they will tell the world.” In July of 2011, I closed TD Auto to move to Markham, IL, where I opened up Dawson's Auto Services.

We even offer a drop-off and pick up service. Giving you that added convenience for your busy workday.
