New Manager is a Karen. by Kathy Barton on 2/10/2025 Was just shopping 2/9/25 in the early afternoon and I saw the manager, some short blonde haired woman (who I'm assuming is named Karen), be quite rude to her employees while cashing out a customer. A new employee asked TJ a question about the safe and the manager said "no talking, she's only to ask ME questions" and saying stuff like the coworkers shouldn't be friendly with eachother because it's work. I understand to a point but you can't control who people talk to and you're taking advantage of your position in power as GM. It seems unfair to give them multiple tasks to complete then berate them in front of customers, let alone at all and not just sit down and have an orderly and calm conversation. I'm genuinely disgusted at this and those young girls deserve better. Not the first time I've seen a display like this from that new gm. I'm switching to dollar general as these displays of verbal assault basically and the uncomfortableness of the employees I no longer feel comfortable as a customer either.
