Dr. Ferraro completed his medical and graduate degrees at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, followed by his radiation oncology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.A native of northern Minnesota, Dr. Ferraro has several family members who had cancer and sometimes had to travel to Mayo Clinic for treatment.
