BJ's Home Accents was created in 1979 by Bill Fortson and John Clements. BJ's offers one stop shopping for a large selection of decorative accessories, fine furniture, lighting, gifts, and seasonal decor.

Owners Bill Fortson and John Clements have received numerous national awards and recognition. The store was selected five different years as the winner of the prestigious ARTs Award for the top home accent store in the Midwest/Southwest. BJ's was the second retailer in the United States to be honored with placement in the Accessory Resource Team Hall of Fame. The store was also featured as the cover story for Home Accents Today international trade magazine and has won additional awards for promotional ideas and community service.
