Richard D. Schneider was born in Ludington, Michigan and moved to Henderson, Kentucky at the age of 14. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, he worked at the V.A. while helping to put his wife through dental school. Dr. Schneider then went to school at the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry, graduating in 1982. He joined his wife, Dr. Barbara Schneider DMD, at her family practice where they worked side by side for 12 years.
