J. Scott Wharton, MD

Dr. Scott Wharton, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, is a native of Baton Rouge and performed his undergraduate studies through LSU, graduating in 1991. In 1996, J. Scott Wharton earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and went on to perform his internship and medical residency at Earl K. Long Hospital, completing his program in 1999.

In private practice in Lake Charles, Louisiana for several years, Dr. J. Scott Wharton returned to Baton Rouge in 2006 and joined The Baton Rouge Clinic. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.

Outside his practice of Internal Medicine, Dr. Wharton and his wife and children make Baton Rouge their home. He is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton Rouge and in his free time, enjoys sports including fishing and hunting.
