J. David West, MD

Born in Bunkie, Louisiana but raised in Montgomery, Alabama from an early age, Dr. J. David West left home for college to attend Auburn University, earning his B.S. From there, Dr. West remained in-state and earned his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1990. Afterwards, he returned to Baton Rouge to complete his Internal Medicine residency through the LSU School of Medicine at Earl K. Long Hospital in 1995.

In practice for nearly two decades, Dr. West worked in Emergency Room settings in hospitals between 1991-95 and joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1995. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. Dr. West is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Southern Medical Association, the Louisiana Medical Society and the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society.

Dr. West resides in Baton Rouge where he enjoys gardening, travel, and watching sports.
