Jamar A. Melton, MD

Dr. Jamar A. Melton graduated for the University of Virginia in 1992 and returned to Louisiana to earn his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1996. Dr. Melton performed his internship and medical residency in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He additionally served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics prior to completing his program in 2000.

Dr. Melton practiced Pediatric Medicine locally for several years before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic in 2011. He is a board certified Pediatrician, a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. He serves as Clinical Instructor with Our Lady of the Lake's Pediatric Residency Program. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
