great authentic thai by lmartin8519 via Citysearch on 2/5/2008

As a huge Thai food lover Ive been to quite a few and this is by far the best one ive tried in new orleans...especially for its price. The food was amazing...the ginger chicken is the most authentic and best ive ever had...the pad thai was…

Great place for REAL thai food by aznboygq21 via Citysearch on 5/21/2007

I've been in New Orleans for years for my tenure at Tulane. Born and raised a Vietnamese Cali boy I've been entitled to some great food esp Thai. During my stay here, I have fallen in love with Bangkok Thai. The food has always been…

Awful AND a rip off? Yep. by troutonfly via Citysearch on 5/18/2007

This place is ridiculously expensive compared to most Thai restaurants. The pad thai is a fishy abomination. On top of everything the waitress/owner tried to rip me off by padding the price of several items on our check.

If you can stand the funky smell... by pitterpat7 via Citysearch on 1/28/2006

Right when we walked in, we noticed the place had a weird smell to it not relating to food, maybe some kind of plant? Nevertheless, the food was decent, but the portion size was smaller than we've found elsewhere in the country, and more…

an authentic gem by viewofdelft via Citysearch on 8/24/2005

I enjoy going back for their consistently authentic Thai dishes. They achieve the balance in that perfect 'thai spicy-hot', yet light. I bring good friends (locals and visitors) to this little gem & they too find Bangkok Thai lingering in…

Thai people eat here by stitnikpmup via Citysearch on 8/11/2005

I'm Thai and have been disappointed by several thai restuarants in the city until I tried Bangkok Thai. It's a mom an' pops shop with fair prices, friendly service, and great Thai food.

Good food, nice staff by Shannon L via Insider Pages on 7/18/2005

The food at Bangkok Thai is good, and very reasonably priced, especially for Uptown New Orleans. It is a small, unassuming place and the staff is very friendly. This is also a convenient place to get to, just off the street car line and a…

Authentic Taste of Thai by c1960s via Citysearch on 6/16/2005

I had a great experience at Bangkok Thai. The food was authentic (and I'm very picky about how asian restaurants "americanize" their cuisine), the waitstaff was friendly, and the price was right. I would definitely dine there again.

You can do better by joeo235 via Citysearch on 5/25/2005

I've dined at this restaurant more than a few times; however, after my most recent trip I have taken a personal vow not to go back. You see, a few months ago a friend of mine gave me a gift certificate to Bangkok Thai, so today I had…

Best Thai Food In New Orleans by versace318 via Citysearch on 11/30/2002

The most authentic Thai food I tasted in New Orleans! Family-owned, and very friendly atmosphere. The Pad Thai is a must. Not expensive and the food is mouth watering.
