James Kang, MD

Dr. James Kang is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh and a spine surgery fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.
An internationally recognized surgeon-scientist, Dr. Kang is a leader in the research and treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration. He maintains an active clinical practice focused on treating spinal stenosis and related conditions, including herniated discs, deformity, fractures, infection, and spinal tumors, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive and revision spine surgery.
